Finally.......Back to school and stepping into a new year

Wow!!!!!!!! What a start to a new year at school with lovely  students stepping in from grade 1 and enthusiastic parents who want to know what is there in store for the kids in grade 2. I am so excited for the year ahead and will try my best to make this learning journey of my students as exciting as possible.
First day of school (6th Aug'12) was exciting because I met my bunch of kids who were little nervous but very eager to meet me and see their new classroom. It was a day when we interacted a lot, introduced ourselves to each other and talked about the things we will be doing in grade 2. 
On the first day itself I felt a strong bonding between me and my kids which will surely last forever.I gave them time to know each other, walk around their classroom, share their feelings, likes and dislikes with me and understand that learning is fun if we all work together and respect and cooperate with each other.
We all had a chat about what we did in the vacations and anything new which we have learnt during our holidays.I gave them sheets to draw or write about their vacations which they shared with their friends.One thing which I came across after spending my day with my kids was that most of them love drawing and colouring so I decided that whatever may be I will give them some time everyday to draw and colour or express themselves in anyway they want to. My kids are naughty what I want them to be but very sincere as they were understanding what I was saying  and promised me to be great learners and good human beings.

     Wow!!! What a lovely bunch :)
